I am a Junior at MSU studying Sociology and Adult Human Development. I was born and raised here in Bozeman and feel a deep love for the beauty of this land. I am passionate about global systemic issues, climate change being the prime example, and how working with people can impact those issues for the better. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, playing the guitar, writing music, woodworking, building lamps, and drawing.
At MontPIRG, I am working to protect the place I call home and finding ways to connect with those who share it, by birth or journey.

Xander learned about MontPIRG when his best friend, Ben Williams, commissioned him to design the classic fish sticker. After learning about MontPIRG, he applied for an internship the next semester—and completed a project focusing on burnout and self-care in advocacy work. He is born for the Tsi’najinnii clan of the Navajo Nation and the Bear clan of the Otoe-Missouria and Ioway tribes of Oklahoma. Xander grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and moved to Missoula when he was fourteen. His two-spirit identity and heritage influence all of his decisions, including his choice to complete his associates degree in General Science this fall before taking a few years off to work as a Pharmacy Technician. When he returns to school, he plans to complete his bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Social Work, with goals of a Master's degree to follow.

Heyo! My name is Morgan and I am a UM third year majoring in Theatre and minoring in Japanese. I lived in Ulm and Great Falls, Montana, before moving to Missoula for the University’s theatre program and the local arts community. I collect movies and comic books, and am passionate about media’s relationship with culture. MontPIRG teaches me that individual support can add up to community change. Issues like cultural conversations, education, conservation, housing, and rights for LGBT and disability communities are my jam. I believe that together we can grow and push for local strength!

I’m Ronan Edison from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I’am now a senior at Montana State University studying political science and on track to have a philosophy minor. I just MontPIRG first as an intern because I believed the values were something that should be advocated for. After an engaging legislative session as a MontPIRG intern, I decided to make the jump to apply to be a Board member. As a Board member, knowing my opinions can positively impact the people of Montana really motivates me to do more.

Hey, I'm Maddie! I am a senior in Sustainability Science & Practice and Environmental Studies. I joined MontPIRG as a student interested in the intersection of public and environmental policy. As an intern, I organized a panel event and community forum to inform Montanans about a local superfund site, Smurfit-Stone. I am thrilled to have earned a position on the Board, where I will collaborate with groups on and off campus to better our communities.

Hi! I’m Tess Rosbarsky, a senior Political Science student at the University of Montana with a minor in International Development Studies. I was born and raised in Missoula and am incredibly passionate about maintaining and improving the livelihoods of those in my community. Through my position as Vice Chair of MontPIRG’s board, I get to work with fellow college students doing just that: advocating for the needs of Montanans.
